Moldova: innovative teachers awarded for introducing future learning disciplines to schools

On 25 October, a ceremony for innovative teachers was held in Chisinau. A total of 22 teachers were awarded for their outstanding results achieved through the implementation of interactive teaching methods in schools and the development of digital technologies.

The nominated teachers were selected from a pool of more than 1,000 educators across the country. A year ago, they were trained in the comprehensive ‘Tekwill in Every School’ programme supported by the EU. Within the programme, they learned about introducing future learning disciplines to schools, including graphic design, web design and development, artificial intelligence, emotional intelligence in communication and much more.

Thanks to the programme and the efforts of teachers, some 50,000 pupils now have access to courses that meet today’s labour market demands.

The ‘Tekwill in Every School’ project is implemented by Tekwill in partnership with the Moldovan Ministry of Education and Research, with financial support from the European Union, Sweden and other international donors.
