Moldova: Business Skills Hub opens in Bălți with EU support

A new Business Skills Hub was officially opened in Bălți on 2 November, with the financial support of the European Union.

The centre is managed by the Association of Business Women of Bălți municipality, which received a grant of €100,000 for the development of the initiative from the EU.

At the new centre, local entrepreneurs will benefit from training, consultancy and support in starting and developing their businesses, as well as a co-working space.

During the inauguration ceremony, certificates of grants were awarded to five entrepreneurs – winners of the ‘Best Business Plan’ contest, conducted by the Business Skills Hub.

An exhibition and fair of products made by Business Skills Hub beneficiaries was also organised and trees were planted.

The Bălți Business Skills Hub was opened as part of the project ‘Civil Society Contribution to Economic and Social Development of the Country’, funded by the EU and co-financed by Sweden and implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation.
