#GenerationRestoration: EU4Climate launches drawing and painting competition for children in Azerbaijan

To mark World Environment Day, the European Union, the United Nations Development Programme, and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan have together launched a drawing contest on the topic ‘#GenerationRestoration’. This competition is organised as part of the EU4Climate project.

The contest is open to all children aged 7-12 currently residing in Azerbaijan and keen to make their own artistic contribution to help raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection.

Winners will be selected on the basis of originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal vision for environmental protection. The top three artworks will be awarded bookstore gift cards worth 100, 70 and 50 AZN, drawing kits and certificates. Special mentions and symbolic prizes will be awarded to ten additional young artists.

To apply, parents should fill in the application form by 26 May 2021. All drawings and paintings (one entry per participant), excluding digital drawings, must be photographed and uploaded to the form.

The competition results will be announced on World Environment Day, 5 June 2021, at the Absheron National Park.
