European Restart a Heart Day: EU supports first aid training in Moldova

On 16 October, on the European Restart a Heart Day, passers-by were taught proper first aid in Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Square, in Chisinau, Moldova.

Doctors from the Centre for Training in Emergency Medicine and Disaster Medicine at the National Centre for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine demonstrated practical exercises on special mannequins for all who were interested. They conducted training on how to properly perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults and children in case of cardiac and respiratory arrest.

The event ‘Take Action for Life! Learn First Aid!’ was organised with the support of the Ministry of Health, the WHO Office of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union within the project ‘EU for Moldova: for a sustainable health system’.

European Restart a Heart Day takes place on 16 October every year.
