European Mobility Week in Azerbaijan

The ‘European Mobility Week’ campaign took place in Azerbaijan from 16-22 September. The motto of this year’s campaign is ‘Safe and Healthy Sustainable Mobility’.

The leading awareness campaign of Europe’s Sustainable Urban Mobility Strategy encourages a wide audience to use active mobility, public transport and other clean, smart means of transport and to follow pandemic rules.

For the first time, the Baku Transport Agency represented the capital Baku in this campaign. The Agency carried out a number of awareness-raising events in the capital during the week, with the participation of ‘Transport Volunteers’.

Prior to the campaign, volunteers were informed about the importance of public transport-oriented urban planning, pedestrian traffic, cycling and the promotion of environmentally-friendly vehicles.
