Europa Nostra launches crowdfunding campaign to support Ukraine’s cultural heritage

The EU-funded pan-European cultural heritage federation Europa Nostra has joined forces with the Global Heritage Fund to support cultural heritage defenders in Ukraine, as well as those working in the cultural heritage sector who became refugees during the Russian aggression.

Europa Nostra has launched a crowdfunding campaign on its website with the option to donate in euros, American dollars and British pounds.

All funds will go to Europa Nostra and will be distributed to those in need, directly or through members in Poland, Romania or other European countries, who are mobilised to help the custodians of Ukraine’s heritage and their legacy.

For example, the federation intends to purchase and send emergency supplies to Ukraine, such as wooden boxes to protect, move and/or store museum collections or archives, fire extinguishers and fire blankets.
