EU, UNDP and State Agency on Vocational Education conduct training for vocational education managers in Azerbaijan

The European Union, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the State Agency on Vocational Education (SAVE) of Azerbaijan have conducted a series of trainings for future vocational education managers.

The training programme ‘Leadership and Management in VET’ consists of 15 hours of online and offline sessions on a weekly basis. The offline trainings are held in the Baku State Vocational Education Centre on Industry and Innovations, where the participants have an opportunity to learn and see on site current facilities and services available in centres.

To date, the participants have learned about effective leadership, targeted public relations, agile tools in management, as well as about best practices in vocational education and data-driven approaches.

The graduates will have an opportunity to apply for senior management positions, such as ‘director’ and ‘deputy director’, in vocational education institutions.

This programme is organised as part of the VET for the Future: Development of VET Providers’ Excellence in Azerbaijan project, which is funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP in partnership with the State Agency on Vocational Education. Its main objective is to help modernise VET institutions in Azerbaijan to deliver trainings tailored to the current needs of the labour market.
