EU-supported Agrotourism Festival in Georgia puts together tourism operators and agricultural producers

On 26 November, the Georgian city of Ambrolauri hosted the ‘Agrotourism Festival 2021’. The event was organised by the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Agrotourism Development Association with the support of the European Union, Sweden and Austria.

The festival provided an opportunity for business matchmaking between tourism operators and agricultural producers in the mountainous regions. The festival also aimed at promoting agritourism and organic agriculture.

The event hosted 65 entrepreneurs from Ambrolauri, Oni, Tsageri, Lentekhi, Mestia, Tkibuli, Chiatura and Sachkhere municipalities. Farmers and representatives of the tourism sector exhibited tea, viticulture, wine, vinegar, potatoes and beekeeping. They also presented the services they offer, including guest houses services, adventure camps, wine tourism, and glamping services.
