EU space tool at the service of the Ukrainian people, helping tech solutions from drone deliveries to the integration of refugees

The EU Agency for the Space Programme, EUSPA, has launched a platform to put space at the service of the Ukrainian people, mobilising the EU Space innovation community to provide technological solutions to enhance humanitarian support for the Ukrainian people.

The platform aims to match innovators, start-ups and companies, with NGOs and other helpers on the ground, gathering applications and solutions that leverage freely accessible data from Galileo and Copernicus, two components of the EU Space programme, to enhance humanitarian support for the Ukrainian people and inviting the innovation community to propose additional ones.

The applications and solutions published on this platform will cover a wide range of uses, from supporting NGOs delivering medical goods via drones, to practical solutions to support the integration in EU countries of people fleeing the war.

A one-hour webinar organised on 12 April will explain how to contribute to the platform and the upcoming activities. It will include matchmaking between innovators/start-ups and NGOs/helpers as well as a hackathon to develop specific applications dedicated to new specific needs.
