EU in Azerbaijan announces winners of press contest


The Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan has announced the winners of the press contest on EU-Azerbaijan cooperation, for Azerbaijani print, TV/radio and web media content.

Five winners were selected in three categories.

  • Best story in printed or online media

Elena Kosolapova & Kelly Chaib De Mares (Azeri Observer Magazine)

Farman Nabiyev (mi-news.az)

Aydin Salimli (qaynarinfo.az)

  • Best feature story on Radio  

Turbat Baghirova (“Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting” CJSC)

  • Best online or print blog, opinion or column

Ismayil Fataliyev (mediaman.az)

The winners in each of the five categories will receive a gift card of 500 AZN.

Entries were judged based on the following criteria: adherence to facts, depth of reporting, focus, fairness and balance, creativity and style, and impact.
