EU High Representative discusses latest developments with Ukrainian Foreign Minister


On 13 September, EU High Representative Josep Borrell and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba discussed the latest military and political developments, with a particular emphasis on the recent counteroffensive launched by Ukraine.

High Representative Borrell commended the courage of the Ukrainian armed forces and welcomed the encouraging reports that Ukraine is regaining control of more parts of its territory.

Borrell and Kuleba exchanged in particular on the ongoing military support worth €2.6 billion provided by the EU through the European Peace Facility. They also discussed work on a possible EU military assistance mission to Ukraine, the technical parameters of which are currently being defined by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the EU and other partners.

Borrell assured Kuleba that there “will be no fatigue when it comes to EU support for Ukraine”.
