EU-funded programme provides gender equality training for Azerbaijani media


The European Union programme organised training on gender equality issues for media professionals in Lankaran, Azerbaijan.

The main goal of the training was to raise awareness of the media and the public on the topic of gender-biased sex selection cases and the problem of selective abortion. The training lasted three days.

The programme ‘Addressing Gender-biased Sex Selection and Related Harmful Practices in the South Caucasus’ is implemented by the UN Population Fund with EU funding.
