EU countries hand over additional aid to Moldova for support of Ukrainian refugees

EU countries continue to support Moldova, which has been hit hardest by the massive influx of refugees fleeing the war against Ukraine.

On 24 March, Moldova received the first batch of 5,000 tonnes of fuel oil donated by Romania.

Also today, France handed over 17 generators to Moldova, which will help the country provide for refugees in temporary shelters. This transfer cost almost half a million euros. Humanitarian aid was delivered through the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union.
