EU anti-corruption initiative in Ukraine will provide Chernivtsi and Zhytomyr with IT tools to increase transparency

The EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI), the leading EU-funded anti-corruption programme in Ukraine, has announced that it will provide two Ukrainian cities – Chernovtsy and Zhytomyr – with IT tools in the coming months to improve transparency and communication between the municipality and its citizens.

An e-reception desk will be launched in Zhytomyr and the geoportal in Chernivtsi will be upgraded.

EUACI will also complete an assessment of the integrity of the water supply enterprise in Chernivtsi, which was initiated before the invasion.

“Zhytomyr was badly damaged by missile attacks in the beginning of the war and Chernivtsi is struggling with many internally displaced people. Despite these challenges, I am pleased that the issues of integrity, transparency, and accountability are still high on the mayors’ agendas,” said Head of the EUACI, Allan Pagh Kristensen.
