EU and UNDP support Azerbaijan’s Vocational Educations Centres’ presence in ‘BAKU BUILD 2021’ exhibition

On 20-22 October, the Baku Vocational Education Centre on Industry and Innovations and the Ganja State Vocational Education Centre on Industry and Technologies took part in the ‘BAKU BUILD: 26^th Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition’ at the EXPO Centre. The exhibition involved around 150 local and international companies in the areas, from architecture and design to construction equipment and technologies from 11 countries.

This initiative was organised as part of the ‘VET for the Future: Development of VET Providers’ Excellence in Azerbaijan’ project, funded by the EU and implemented by the UNDP, in partnership with the State Agency on Vocational Education (SAVE). The project aims to support the modernisation of VET institutions in Azerbaijan to deliver competence-based training to increase their attractiveness and labour market relevance.

During the exhibition, EU-supported VET centres have demonstrated their resources on the related areas, participated in B2B (business-to-business) meetings with private sector companies and learned more about current trends in the market.
