Commissioner Vălean visits Moldova to discuss cooperation on transport policy and infrastructure


On 25-26 November, European Commissioner for Transport, Adina Vălean, pays a visit to Chisinau to discuss the assistance offered by the European Union for the development of transport infrastructure in the Republic of Moldova, ahead of the Eastern Partnership Summit on 15 December.

The agenda of the visit includes official meetings with the President of the of the Republic, the Speaker of Parliament, as well as the Prime minister and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development.

“Moldova is the first country outside the EU that I visit as a Commissioner. Happy to be here at the end of such a prolific year in terms of EU-Moldova cooperation,” wrote Vălean on Twitter.

The Commissioner will also visit an infrastructure project on the European road E58, connecting Chisinau to the Romanian border.
