Azerbaijan: EU and UNDP release series of manuals on gender and inclusivity

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Azerbaijan, through an EU-funded project, has developed a series of guidelines for civil society organisations (CSOs) on the design and implementation of more inclusive and gender-sensitive projects.

The brochures cover three areas: strengthening inclusive participation in community-based projects, developing gender-sensitive projects and integrating a gender perspective into policy development.

The manuals are produced as part of the ‘Developing innovation-driven and sustainable civil society in Azerbaijan’ project, funded by the European Union.

These publications will also help CSOs applying for the two small grants programme launched by the project. With a total budget of around US$1 million, the project plans to allocate grants to up to 37 of the best CSO-led initiatives in the areas of gender equality, climate change and post-COVID reconstruction.
