Armenia launches gender equality plan with EU support

On 21 June, Armenia launched a Country Strategy Implementation Plan for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment.

The implementation plan was developed by the EU Delegation to Armenia based on consultations with state authorities, women’s organisations, Armenian civil society organisations and EU member states.

The launch event was organised by the EU Delegation to Armenia in cooperation with UNFPA and the French Presidency in the Council of the European Union.

During the event, women from different regions of Armenia shared their experiences on how they had managed to successfully challenge stereotypes and create their space in different spheres of Armenian society.
