On 26 October, the EU ambassador to Armenia, Andrea Wiktorin, visited Gyumri, the administrative centre of Shirak Province in northwestern Armenia.

The Ambassador met with the Governor of the Shirak region, Nazeli Baghdasarian, to discuss EU support in the region. Andrea Wiktorin stressed the importance of having women leaders in influential positions and met with the families of prisoners of war, expressing her full support to them.
