Rapid gender assessment of the impact of COVID-19 on the lives of women and men in Azerbaijan

This report was commissioned within the framework of the “EU4Gender Equality: Together against gender stereotypes and gender-based violence” programme, unded by the European Union and implemented jointly by UN Women and UNFPA. The findings of the Rapid Gender Assessment of the impact of COVID-19 on the lives of women and men in Azerbaijan indicate that Covid-19 has had a major impact on the socio-economic security and sources of livelihoods for women and men in Azerbaijan, and that the government should pay particular attention to the gender-responsiveness of the relief and recovery measures that it puts in place to alleviate negative consequences of the pandemic.
