A factsheet outlining the support provided to Armenia by the European Union as part of the Solidarity for Health Initiative, a two-year project implemented with the WHO to address the COVID-19 pandemic and build a resilient health sector in the Eastern Partnership.
The European Union Solidarity for Health initiative is part of a common European response to the outbreak of COVID-19, which aims to address the short-term emergency needs, as well as the longer-term structural impacts with a special focus on the most vulnerable countries, with weak health systems. The initiative supports the partner countries in their fight against the virus and helps them to address better the needs of the most vulnerable people.
This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a B&S Europe-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
