Ukraine: House of Europe to offer individual project grants in the field of health

The EU-supported ‘House of Europe’ project in Ukraine invites social entrepreneurs to take part in a grant programme for personal non-profit projects. The grant offers up to €4,000 for individual projects in the field of medicine, media, social entrepreneurship and youth work with the involvement of the EU and United Kingdom.

The project should be a new initiative focused on the applicant’s professional growth (a course, internship, networking, or launch of a new project led by the applicant) but shouldn’t be directly related to applicant’s everyday tasks. The project must involve the EU or the UK: the social entrepreneur can both learn from European colleagues and present them his or her ideas.

The applicant may choose any topic that he or she finds fascinating and relevant for Ukraine. Nevertheless, House of Europe suggests addressing the modernisation of procedures and international clinical protocols, the improvement of health care staff skills and competences, the support from EU and UK colleagues on specialised topics, the use of modern equipment, the patient-oriented approach, and medical ethics.

Applicants should be citizens of Ukraine, currently residing in Ukraine, at least 18 years old, and have a private entrepreneur status or a partner (an organisation that can receive grant support and will assume the legal issues) and proof that the partner organisation from the EU or UK is ready to collaborate (it can be provided later).

The application deadline is 15 February 2021.
