Moldova: wastewater and sewage system upgraded in Cantemir with EU support

The town of Cantemir in the Republic of Moldova has finalised the modernisation of its wastewater and sewage system as part of an EU-funded project.

As soon as the renewed system completes its testing process, the residents of Cantemir will benefit from higher quality water supply and sewerage services. This will help improve public health and contribute to a clean environment in the region.

In support of this action, the local water utility, Apa Canal Cantemir, has been enhanced with new equipment and machinery to safely and sustainably operate the modern sewerage system for Cantemir.
