Moldova: first EU-funded school Digital Laboratory opens in Cahul


The EU-funded ‘EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul’ project has inaugurated the first Innovative Digital Laboratory in the south of the Republic of Moldova, in the presence of EU Ambassador to Moldova Janis Mazeiks.

The laboratory was set up in the ‘Alexei Mateevici’ high school, in the Alexandru Ioan Cusa village, Cahul district.

In total, nine digital laboratories will be created in total in secondary schools in the southern part of the country. About 3,000 students will have the opportunity to develop their skills and adapt to the modern demands of the labour market.

The ‘EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul’ project is financed by the European Union in partnership with Sweden and implemented by the National Association of ICT Companies (ATIC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova.
