International fact-checking day – join the EEAS and EUvsDisinfo session on Twitter Spaces on 2 April


On 2 April, International Fact Checking Day and in light of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the European External Action Service (EEAS) together with EUvsDisinfo will host a session on Twitter Spaces. 

The session will take place at 11:00 – 11:45 Brussels time (12:00 – 12:45 Kyiv time) and will focus on the dynamics of pro-Kremlin disinformation and general recommendations for users to navigate and combat online disinformation.

The session will be moderated by Martyna Bildziukiewicz, Head of the East Stratcom Task force at the EEAS.

Speakers invited:

Oksana Iliuk, leading analyst of DetectorMedia, the author of the article on “What is to be expected from Russia on the information war front”.

Alyona Romanyuk, coordinator of Putinlies – a volunteer-based initiative uniting about 30 fact-checkers and journalists. Alyona runs an interactive media literacy platform – Nota Enota (A note by Raccoon).

Listeners will only be able to take the floor and ask questions through the Twitter mobile app. They will also be able to listen to the session from the Internet without any intervention.
