European Investment Bank to disburse €60 million to horticulture sector in Moldova


The European Investment Bank (EIB), as part of Team Europe, will provide €60 million of support in the form of low interest-rate credits for the horticulture sector in Moldova.

The announcement was made by Alberto Carlei, the Head of the European Investment Bank representation for the Republic of Moldova, during his first meeting with local journalists.

The EIB, the European Union bank, operates in Moldova since 2007. Through projects implemented by the EIB, the European Union provides support to SMEs, education and research, transport and energy sector, as well as water supply and related infrastructure.

The total value of these projects is €800 million.
