EU supports people in Armenia displaced in recent Nagorno Karabakh conflict

Starting from 26 January, a total of 1,000 families selected by the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia in cooperation with regional authorities in Yerevan, Kotayq, Gegharkunik and Syunik marzes, will be supported through the project ‘Rapid Emergency Response to Families from Nagorno Karabakh’.

Each family will receive a one-month supply of food and hygiene items. The project is financed by the European Union and implemented by the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU).

On 25 January, the Ambassador of the European Union to Armenia, Andrea Wiktorin, visited the warehouse of the AGBU, where the parcels for families affected by the recent Nagorno Karabakh conflict were prepared for distribution. During the visit, the Ambassador thanked AGBU and its volunteers for their efforts.

The project ‘Rapid Emergency Response to Families from Nagorno Karabakh’ is one of four ongoing EU projects aimed at providing support to people displaced due to the recent Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
