EU invites regional journalists from Moldova to take part in study visit to Bulgaria

The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova invites journalists to apply for a study programme in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia. It will take place from 9-12  August 2021.

During the visit, the participants will get acquainted with the socio-economic evolution of Bulgaria as an EU member state, the relationship and cooperation between Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova, the media functioning, and civil society in Bulgaria. The agenda of the study visit will include meetings with representatives of several relevant institutions in Sofia.

This call for applications is addressed mainly to independent regional media representatives with at least one year of experience in the field and interest in reflecting on EU-Moldova topics. The applicants should have at least basic level of English. Documents can be submitted in Romanian, Russian or English.

The deadline for applications is 18 July. The form can be submitted via email, with the message subject: ‘Application form – Bulgaria’.

The programme is part of the study visits series organised by the EU Delegation to Moldova for regional media since 2015. Previously, journalists from Moldova visited Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, and the European institutions in Brussels.
