EU hosts digital EU4Energy week for Eastern Partnership universities

The European Union’s EU4Energy Programme is hosting the Autumn Digital EU4Energy Week for Eastern Partnership (EaP) Universities from 25-29 October, as a platform for knowledge and experience sharing among EU4Energy experts and students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

The event includes a series of five sessions, and focuses on fundamentals of the EU’s energy policy and regulation. The sessions will cover the EU’s electricity market model, ways of integrating renewable energy sources into power systems, the role of gas in the energy transition, and tariff setting models and methodologies.

There will also be a competition among the participating students, with the winner having the opportunity to attend a training course for energy professionals in Brussels in 2022.

The event is organised in the framework of the EU4Energy Programme Phase II – Promoting the Clean Energy Transition in the Eastern Partnership Countries, which aims to contribute to the development of sound legislative and regulatory frameworks for energy, to support the region’s transition to clean energy, and the liberalisation of its energy markets.
