EU and WHO deliver medical supplies to the COVID-19 frontline in Azerbaijan

The EU has donated additional medical supplies and equipment to Azerbaijan to help patients recover from COVID-19.

The donation is part of the Solidarity for Health Initiative funded by the EU and implemented by the World Health Organization. It included two ventilators and a BiPAP device for oxygen therapy, four patient monitors, and four high flow nasal oxygen cannula, as well as test reagents, 100 tablets, five laptops, five modems, and software to help with the surveillance of COVID-19 cases.

Another four medical shipments have been delivered to Azerbaijan since July 2020 as part of the Solidarity for Health Initiative, containing medical equipment as well as personal protective equipment for healthcare staff. The EU also funds a COVID-19 Vaccination Support Project in Azerbaijan, aimed at supporting mass vaccination to overcome the pandemic.
