On 10 May, the European Union ambassador to Georgia, Carl Hartzell, received responses to the second EU questionnaire from Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
Georgia provided answers to the EU’s first questionnaire on 2 April.
Both documents will help the European Commission assess the political and economic conditions in Georgia for EU accession. The Commission will now have to issue its opinion on the matter.

This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service.
