Energy Community calls on countries and businesses to urgently donate emergency energy equipment to Ukraine

May 26, 2022

The Energy Community Secretariat calls companies, associations or countries to donate energy equipment needed to keep Ukraine’s energy infrastructure operational.

According to the secretariat, the list of requested emergency power equipment currently includes more than 10,000 items.

The Energy Community Secretariat’s Artur Lorkowski said that approximately 200 metric tons of emergency equipment is on the way to Ukraine or has already been delivered. The first aid shipments of critical specialised energy equipment to Ukraine donated by private companies are coordinated by the Energy Community Secretariat’s Ukraine Support Task Force (USTF). The task force has already assisted companies in thirteen European countries to donate critical energy equipment to Ukraine.

The secretariat will hold a special webinar on 7 June, during which it will explain how companies and business associations can help Ukraine by offering specialised energy equipment.
