Creative Europe launches call to support publication of literary translations


The new Creative Europe programme has launched a call for proposals to support the circulation of European literary works.

With a budget of €5 million, this call will support projects that will translate, publish, distribute, promote a package of minimum five works of fiction (novels, poetry, comics etc.).

Interested organisations from different Creative Europe countries (including Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) can apply as an individual applicant or as member of a consortium of a minimum of two eligible organisations.

Applicants can apply with projects of different sizes with a different ceiling for the number of books translated and funding received:

  • small-scale projects proposing translation of up to ten different books can receive up to €100,000;
  • medium-scale projects proposing translation of up to 20 different books can receive up to €200,000;
  • large scale projects proposing translation of at least 21 different books can receive up to €300,000.

The deadline for application is 30 September 2021.
