Baku Food Hackathon: winner receives €5,000 to develop project


On 28 November, the Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan, the Young European Ambassadors, and the EU-funded ‘AgroVision’ project held the Baku Food Hackathon.

The main topic of the hackathon was to promote healthy eating habits, encourage the consumption of local foods, and create innovative solutions to food problems in Azerbaijan.

The two-day hackathon brought together representatives of the IT and start-up communities in Baku with local food producers from the regions. The participating teams developed their projects, and the winning idea received €5,000. Second and third places received €3,000 and €1,000 respectively.
