Azerbaijan: EU supports food festival in Sheki

On 4 September, a food festival took place in Sheki, Azerbaijan, with EU support.

Traditional food and local agricultural products from Sheki, Zagatala, Gabala, Oguz, Gakh, and Balakan districts were presented at the festival. More than 200 people, including representatives of the EU Delegation, embassies of the EU Member States, members of Parliament, international organisations, and regional stakeholders, attended the event.

The festival was organised by the EU-funded project ‘Promoting local food production and agri-business owners through advisory services’, implemented by the Centre for Economic and Social Development in partnership with the ‘Uluchay’ Social-Economic Innovation Centre and Centre for Economic Development from Bulgaria.
