Azerbaijan: EU and UNDP conduct series of Open Doors days for VET centres in Baku, Ganja and Jalilabad

The European Union (EU), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the State Agency on Vocational Education support have organised a series of Open Doors days for a number of vocational and training (VET) centres in Baku, Ganja and Jalilabad in Azerbaijan.

The purpose of the Open Doors days is to increase the attractiveness of VET providers and to raise awareness of vocational education and training centres.

The third in the series of events was organised at the Baku State Vocational Education Centre for Culture and Arts and attracted around 1,000 participants – high school students, parents, teachers, as well as the officials from government agencies and the stakeholders.

Participants visited the centre’s workshops and received information about the facilities and services that are currently available in this VET centre. The visitors also learned more about the current modernisation of the VET system, inclusive education services and admission procedures. At the event, participants discussed career opportunities and prospects for VET with successful graduates and some employers.
