Armenia: LEAD4Lori and Tavush Project starts its activities


The official regional launch of the EU-funded LEAD4Lori and Tavush Project took place on 5 November in Ijevan, the administrative centre of the Tavush Province.

The €6.6 million project is financed by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Food and Agricultural Organisation of United Nations (FAO). The project will promote inclusive and sustainable growth and improved livelihoods of the rural population in Lori and Tavush regions through support to community-driven local development initiatives and partnerships.

During the launch event, the project presented the expected results of the 4-year project and provided an overview of the EU LEADER methodology for local development.
