Arturo is a double Master’s degree student of European Governance at Utrecht University, with a passion for foreign affairs and communication. While a native Italian, he has travelled and studied extensively throughout Europe, from the Netherlands to the Czech Republic. Arturo is currently Head of the European Guanxi Podcast, and previously created and hosted his own broadcast about the relationship between the EU and its citizens: “EU&Me”. His academic and work experience have led him to develop a deep interest in the European Eastern Partnership, as well as Eastern & Southeast Asian countries. On a personal level, he enjoys skateboarding, cult movies, and rock music.

Andrea Borraccetti

Alessandro Pizzi

Alessandro is a student at the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali (LUISS), where he is pursuing a Master in International Relations. Having always been passionate about EU studies and foreign affairs, he dedicated his bachelor thesis to the energy diplomatic relations between the EU and Azerbaijan. During his time as a student Alessandro has always been involved in volunteering, both at a local and national level. Alessandra is an Italian currently living in Brussels to attend her last year of a double Master’s degree in International Relations, and complete an intership as policy advisor. In the future, she would like to work in the field of EU’s external relations, and in particular with neighbouring states that have prospects for European membership, in view of future EU enlargement. Her aspirations would therefore be to strengthen the bilateral dialogue with more concrete policies of democratic promotion that also take into account the internal dynamics of the states of reference.

Kristine is a dedicated history student pursuing her Master’s degree at Pázmány Péter Catholic University in Budapest. With prior teaching experience in World History, she is passionate about education and history. She currently volunteers with the Budapest Red Cross, focussing on children’s well-being. An adventurer at heart, she enjoys mountain climbing and travelling, along with a love for reading and creativity. Markos is an third year undergraduate student of the Department of the International and European Studies at the University of Macedonia in Greece’s second largest city of Thessaloniki. He is always focused on the European aspect of politics, having taken part in a simulation of the European Parliament, and has been part of the project “Student-Ambassadors of the European Parliament” with great success. He speaks English, German, and Greek (native speaker). He also loves travelling through Europe, going to museums, music and drawing.

Paula Heinen

Paula from Bonn, Germany, was always fascinated by the European union especially after volunteering for a year with the European Solidarity Corps in Denmark. Given her deep interest in climate change, she is now studying Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science at Lund University. When she finishes her studies, she hopes to become a journalist to share her love for science and advocate for women in natural sciences. Furthermore, Paula has a passion for gender equality, learning new languages, exploring diverse cultures, singing, and working with children. That’s why she is volunteering in a language café for pupils and works as a youth coach in her favourite sport – jump rope.

Nikoloz is an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme student at Leipzig International School in Leipzig, Germany. Nikoloz loves participating in extracurricular activities such as Model United Nations, International Study Trips, conferences, and more! Lilli is studying towards a Bachelor degree in International Relations at Rhine-Waal University in Kleve and is currently on an exchange semester at the German-Kazakh University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She is engaged in her local Amnesty International group. Additionally, she interned at Europa-Zentrum Baden-Württemberg and has volunteered with the European Solidarity Corps several times, experiencing firsthand the valuable contributions of young people with diverse backgrounds, working together. Passionate about security studies, international cooperation, and EU affairs, she is looking forward to promoting the EU’s relations with its eastern partners as a Young European Ambassador.
