Cristiana is currently studying European Languages and Culture at University of Groningen in the Netherlands. She is a volunteer enthusiast who is open to new experiences, opportunities and knowledge. Cristiana has participated in multiple projects such as being a school ambassador, tutoring students and recently being a Faculty of Health Mentor. 

Bianca Raețchi

Bianca is a Computer Science student at University of Groningen in the Netherlands, while actively pursuing a career as a Frontend Engineer. She is passionate about solving real-life issues with the help of technology. Bianca has volunteered for a well-known NGO in Moldova, GirlsGoIT, giving the participants their first insight into the STEM world, with the hope of attracting a new generation of girls to the field of Computer Science. By joining the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative, she aspires to take actionable steps to improve the quality of life in Moldova. 

Nicole Woolley

Nicole is a third-year student of International Relations at the University of Groningen, having completed an Erasmus+ exchange programme at the University of Bologna. She is fervently passionate about European law, social policy-making and migration. She has participated in many programmes geared towards fostering public diplomacy skills, such as the Model United Nations. She is actively involved in local volunteering projects in her hometown in Italy. Interested in EU affairs and European Integration, she is grateful to be part of the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative as it represents a unique opportunity to make the world a better place.  

Mattia Fontana

Mattia is a senior student of European and Transnational Comparative Law in Trento, Italy, where he developed a passion for international politics and the European Union; he is currently in Budapest carrying out a period of thesis research to delve into the issue of the Hungarian Government’s violations towards the rights of the LGBTQ+ community in the country. He is a fervent supporter of deeper European integration and of the European project as originally conceived by Altiero Spinelli, and wants to do his part to carry it on.

Maria Elena Bernardelli

Maria holds a Bachelor degree in Classics and is Master’s degree student of Art History with a particular interest in Contemporary Art. She has always cared about environmental and social issues, and she had the opportunity to be a part of the Fashion Revolution team of volunteers in 2017 and 2018. In her free time, she plays in the Milan female in-line hockey team competing in the national championship. She thinks that meeting and becoming acquainted with different cultures is a way to educate oneself and that is why she joined the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative.

Lorenzo Bisceglie

Lorenzo is currently a Bachelor degree student in European Studies at the University of Bologna, Italy, pursuing a major in political science and economics. Europe is at the center of his studies, focused especially on how to design the future of our Union. Lorenzo is interested in long-term sustainability of policies on economical, environmental, political and social levels, and believes that the challenge of balancing those four is one of the greatest of our times. He is passionate about debating and public speaking, which he believes stimulate thinking, engagement and political participation. He has also been involved in volunteering with service to people both at home and abroad.

Kevin is currently studying Political Science with a focus on International Studies at the University of Pisa in Italy. Kevin’s hobbies are music, travel and geopolitics. He loves being in contact with other cultures from which he can learn new vocabulary, try new food and discover new ways to look at the world. He has always had a passion for the European Union and he really believes that the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative affords him the opportunity to help others and promulgate European values.

Giulia is currently working towards a Master’s degree Public and Cultural Diplomacy at the University of Siena. A strong interest in international relations has led her to choose such an area of study and a corresponding career path. Giulia collaborates with an Erasmus academy in Germany as an animator and facilitator for international youth seminars concerning current issues of European integration and the future development of the EU. Giordano is a Master’s degree student in International Relations at LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome and he is currently completing the Erasmus+ at Sciences Po Paris. Francesca Laera

Francesca is a student in Comparative European and International Legal Studies at Trento University. She is passionate about international relations (and their legal aspects) and European topics. She has participated in European Youth Parliament sessions in Trento and Kraków and has taken part in an Erasmus+ mobility. Evan holds a Bachelor degree in International Relations from the University Centre of Brasília (CEUB). He is pursuing a Master’s degree in European Studies at KU Leuven, Belgium. He is the Head of the Writing Division at EU&U and is one of the coordinators of the Young Europe magazine. His interest in the EU is mainly in its energy policies and transition. Emanuele Gualandri

Emanuele, a Master’s degree student in Journalism at VUB in Brussels, holds a Bachelor degree in International Politics, Law, and Economics from the University of Milan. Eleonora is currently studying for a Bachelor degree in Political Science at the Université libre de Bruxelles. Her main areas of interest are politics and diplomacy, which led her to become a member of the ‘Comité Diplomatique’ at her university.
